There is a storm
currently on the coast of California and Oregon. We have an eye on
this front. It is predicted that it may hit Wendover Monday night.
We will keep you informed of its direction and intensity. Otherwise
the salt is great. The weather is great. The workers are
happy.

"Dodged the bullet again."
The storm went
through the Wendover area with cold winds and snow on the mountains.
But there was no significant rain on the salt. The best available
tracks are the Speedweek # 1 and # 2 courses. Course # 1 suffered a
bit of rain damage so we are re-dragging both courses in their entirety.
The pits and entry roads are established and we are "on schedule" for
opening and inspections on Tuesday.

We have 145 pre-entries to date (107 cars and
36 bikes). GO Salt
September, 25th, 2007
Our onsite expert has visited both of
the Speedweek courses and they are dry and hard.
SW Course #2 (the one USFRA ran on) will need some
dragging but should be fine. SW Course #1 has not been used since SW and
it sustained some damage in the late August rains. We won’t know how much
is repairable until we start dragging Saturday..
Unless there are weather events (none forecast), there
is little we can report until we start work on Friday.

STILL LOOKING GOOD AND 10 DAY FORECAST FAVORABLE
Onsite reports from both the "end of the pavement" and the Intrepid
facility this morning indicate no rain and dry salt. We will have an
onsite "Course inspection" late today or tomorrow and will update the
Website ASAP thereafter.
September, 22th, 2007
We are watching the current
Wendover rain situation and will have onsite "damage assessment" early next
week.

Looks like the last storm
bypassed the salt. We are expecting a great event.
