 Social media moves quickly, but compassion and respect must come first.

Sometimes tragedies can occur in motorsports. During any crisis, accident, or serious incident, I ask everyone to show respect and compassion.

Please! Do not post photos, videos, names, or details online until official information has been released and families have been properly notified. Behind every vehicle number are loved ones who deserve dignity and privacy during difficult moments.

Resist the urge to be first to share information. Giving families the time and space they need is far more important than being first with the news.

Thank you for helping keep our community thoughtful, respectful, and compassionate.

Bonneville is next!  For racers and volunteers who dedicate so much time to make it all happen, SpeedWeek is like Christmas—only better. I look forward to seeing friends I may only see once a year—people who are just as passionate (or maybe just as crazy) about landspeed racing as I am.  Good racing to all of us, and safe travels on your journey.
