 For the landspeed racing community, the start of a new season carries a special kind of electricity. At El Mirage and later on at the vast white canvas of Bonneville, we gather once again to chase numbers. This year promises to be an exciting one. The SCTA season kicks off in May at El Mirage, and for the first time all four El Mirage events will run as two-day race weekends.

Each season brings new cars, new motorcycles, new records to chase, and new racers experiencing the magic of the lakebed for the first time. But it also carries forward the legacy of the legends who built this sport and the community that continues to make it one of the most unique forms of racing anywhere in the world.

As the dust begins to rise again at El Mirage we invite you to follow along. Whether you’re a veteran racer, a volunteer, or someone discovering land speed racing for the first time, this season promises the same thing it always has: wide-open horsepower and the relentless pursuit of speed.
